Paia, Spreckelsville & Kuau Real Estate
Previously a Maui plantation town for the pineapple and sugar cane industries, Paia on the North Shore of Maui is a quaint, laid back beach community of art galleries, antique stores, coffee houses, ethnic restaurants, yoga studios and local surf shops. Surfing on the North Shore is big, meaning the largest waves on the island are right here. One favorite spot is Hookipa Beach Park, also known as the Windsurfing Capital of the World, where longboarders , shortboarders and wind surfers are treated to waves of twenty feet sometimes thanks to the outer reefs and ideal ocean conditions.
